Research & development

Better questions. Stronger infrastructure.

Alongside our project services, we are developing a modular underground infrastructure concept—examining how facility layout, power, cooling, and operations can work together.

THREE RESEARCH THEMES

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT
01

Modular infrastructure

Study repeatable capacity blocks and shared utility systems, with expansion and maintenance access considered together.

A QUESTION TO TEST

How can a modular layout accommodate site constraints and phased growth without compromising serviceability?

02

Thermal & energy integration

Evaluate liquid cooling, heat reuse, and energy options against the equipment, site, and operating conditions.

A QUESTION TO TEST

Which configuration is practical for the workload, available utilities, and local demand for recovered heat?

03

Operational resilience

Connect monitoring, maintenance, recovery, and replacement needs to the physical facility concept.

A QUESTION TO TEST

How will operators inspect, isolate, maintain, and recover systems throughout the facility lifecycle?

These studies concern our concept development. Capacity, performance, cost, and feasibility remain subject to validation.

FROM IDEAS TO EVIDENCE

Define. Evaluate.
Demonstrate.

Each development stage should answer a specific question.

We start with the use case and assumptions, compare technical options, and identify the specialist studies or demonstrations needed before a concept advances. Site conditions, ground and water management, life safety, maintainability, and commercial feasibility shape that work.

Our research program is distinct from the underground development expertise offered through client engagements. A project can begin with feasibility and build planning while concept-specific innovations continue through evaluation.
